Towards the end of the month, people in the area will be able to catch an ensemble of some of New York City’s most talented teen dancers.
‘Today’s Teen Dancers, Tomorrow’s Dance Artists’ is part of the Summer Concert Series in this community and all people are invited to come out and watch the show. Poster printing, flyer printing, postcard printing, and banner printing might have been used to promote this teen showcase to members of this community and the surrounding areas.
As part of this event, which is sponsored by the Young Dancemakers Company, teens will take to the stage with some original choreography and offer some fun, witty, topical, and mindful dance numbers with bold and exciting themes. The concert is directed by the award winning director, Alice Teirstein, and the 2012 NY Dance and Performance ‘Bessie’. There will be live music and excerpts from creative guest choreographer, Doug Elkins.
Dances will range from martial arts to hip hop, and offer something for everyone. There will also be a ‘Dance with the Dancers’ session, where guests can enjoy some dance lessons with the experts.
This is a free summer concert and everyone is welcome to attend. It will be taking place on Sunday, July 28, starting with the dance lessons at 1:00 pm and the performance at 2:00 pm at the Flushing Town Hall located at 137 – 35 Northern Blvd. in Flushing, New York, just down the road from Forest Hills.
