Forest Hills Stadium will be holding concerts next month by two acts that have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Both have sold millions of records and have filled stadiums around the world.
John Mellencamp will be appearing on July 11. His special guests will be Emmylou Harris, Carlene Carter and Lily and Madeleine. Mellencamp has sold over 40 million records and is best known for songs like ‘Jack and Diane’ and ‘Hurts So Good’. The concert doors will open at 5:30 pm and the show is set to begin at 6:30 pm. Tickets range in price from $20 to $149.50; those who purchase tickets over $39.50 online will receive a copy of his new album ‘Sad Clowns and Hillbillies’.
Additionally, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will be giving two concerts on July 26 and 27 as part of their 40th-anniversary tour. The special guest will be Peter Wolf. The band has sold over 60 million records and had hits singles such as ‘I Won’t Back Down’ and ‘American Girl’. Tickets cost from $49.50 up to $165. The stadium doors will open at 5:00 PM and the show will begin at 6:30 PM.
