Globetrotting author to give Forest Hills presentation

The Queens Public Library will be inviting an accomplished author to its Forest Hills branch to discuss his book.

Those interested in interacting with a globetrotting author and photographer can attend the Queens Public Library’s upcoming Meet the Author program. This month’s guest will be Edward Hotchkiss, a writer with experience telling photographic stories. The discussion will focus on his book Station To Station: Exploring The New York City Subway, which contains a collection of photographs depicting the true humanity of the city’s subway systems. The book also includes a forward by Lawrence Weschler.

Edward Hotchkiss is an experienced traveler who has had many adventures around the world. His goal is to visit every country on the planet. So far, Hotchkiss has made it to 118 countries during his travels. He also has experience hitchhiking throughout the United States. People interested in his expeditions can visit Hotchkiss’ website to see galleries of his trips to destinations as far and wide as the Maldives, Sri Lanka, and two national parks in Madagascar.

The meeting with the author will be held on August 31 from 2:00 pm to 3:15 pm. People will also have a chance to see Hotchkiss on September 24 at the Sunnyside branch of the library. Organizations that arrange meetings like this may use Print shops to make Posters that promote the events to library patrons.
