The Rubinhaim Foundation hosted a gala for the New Forest Hills based daycare center, which featured Allen Genkin, a winner on Dancing with the Stars, and Amanda Spivack, his dance partner.
On October 7, over 200 supporters gathered at a red carpet gala event to benefit the Rubinhaim Community Center and Angels Daycare. The event was held in Elmhurst at the Da Mikele Illagio and was sponsored by Reamir & Co., one of New York’s finest barbershop chains.

Skeery Jones of Z-100 served as Master of Ceremonies with Killoren Bensimon, star of Real Housewives of New York, announcing the live auction. Live musical entertainment was on hand, as were comedians, and attendees enjoyed a meal prepared by Mikele Zavolunov, featuring international cuisine.
The Rubinhaim Foundation the only one of its kind and is dedicated to helping children who have lost a parent. The foundation’s proposed daycare center, to be located in Forest Hills, will be the country’s first free daycare center opened specifically to help children overcome the devastating loss of a parent.
