Forest Hills volleyball team to hold try-outs

Girls interested in becoming part of a local youth volleyball team in Forest Hills can join in a trial in November.

The Girls' Youth League Try-Out is an event held by Big City Volleyball where young women in grades 7-12 can demonstrate their skills. Those selected for the youth league will attend weekly practices, weekend matches with referees, and a championship game. The girls trying out for the team are expected to have prior experience playing the sport in high school. Those who have taken advanced volleyball courses with the organizer during the year are also welcome to the try-outs.

Big City Volleyball is an organization dedicated to all Forms of the sport. The programs offered by the group include beach tournaments, indoor tournaments, and youth summer camps for boys and girls. The organization also provides private volleyball instruction and after-school activities. Big City Volleyball consists of over 2,000 players and has more than 30 coaches and refs. People can work for the group as referees, coaches, or open play managers.

The try-out session will be on Saturday, November 19 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Common Point. All participants must pay a $25 fee, and players 12 and up must bring their proof of vaccination to be allowed inside all facilities. Sports organizations like this may use printing services to make ads for their try-out sessions.
