Forest Hills to hold interactive music program

BK Music Learning will give an educational and engaging lecture at a Forest Hills library in June.

The Juneteenth Celebration With BK Music Learning is an experience where families can learn about the meaning of Juneteenth while enjoying an upbeat musical presentation. The program will teach children about freedom through music and movement. The intended audience for the show is children five and younger.

BK Music Learning is an educational organization that uses music-led activities and interactive concerts to engage with students. The group offers daytime enrichment programs for childcare centers and provides after-school enrichment for elementary and middle schools. Yahoteh Kokayi founded the organization in 2019. He is a songwriter and instrumentalist who co-founded a homeschooling group in 2015.

The organization hosts online workshops and has created original songs like Everybody In A Line and Tippy Toes. Many topics are covered by the group, such as counting, mindfulness, and the alphabet. The school’s classes also help kids develop gross and fine motor skills.

The Juneteenth program will be held on Saturday, June 22nd from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm. The activity is only available in person at the Forest Hills branch of the Queens Public Library. Families do not need to register for BK Music Learning’s presentation in advance. Libraries that offer similar activities for children can utilize printing services to produce custom ads such as posters and banners.
