The Central Queens Y is offering members of the Forest Hills, New York location a group trip to the Morgan Library and Museum to visit the current exhibits on display.
The attraction will be featuring Charles Dickens’s ‘A Christmas Carol’ for the holidays, which will be shown among other classics such as Frankenstein. Several pieces of art will also be displayed, including oil sketches given to the museum by Eugene Thaw, and drawings made by Jacopo Tintoretto.
During the visit, the Morgan Museum will be offering guided tours throughout the day to explore the different exhibits in more detail. The first will allow guests to take a guided walkthrough of the highlights in the museum’s collection, while later in the day visitors can learn more about the history behind Frankenstein.
Visitors to the museum are welcome to browse the Morgan Shop for unique souvenirs to take back home. The store has everything from themed accessories, to various Books from Morgan’s study. There are even old street Banners available for purchase from past advertising campaigns that utilized banner printing to show off previous exhibits.
Anybody who is interested in attending the trip to the Morgan Library and Museum can purchase a ticket for $25. The date will be December 27, and the cost will include transportation to the event as well as the price of admission.
