Forest Hills locals interested in protecting their hearing can view a broadcast in March held by the Queens Public Library.
21 Tips For Healthy Hearing Across The Lifespan In 2021 is a health workshop offered by the library where a professional audiologist will provide helpful tips for maintaining hearing abilities. The presentation will have advice for people of all ages, and the broadcast will be appropriate for families to view. The workshop will also discuss audiology and how interested students can pursue a graduate degree in the profession. Organizations with lessons like this can promote their events using poster printing.
The presenter for the broadcast will be Dr. Shruti Deshpande, Ph.D., a nationally accredited audiologist and an assistant professor at St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Her research aims to improve industry techniques for assessing and managing auditory perception by comparing typical and atypical hearing abilities. Past classes taught by Deshpande include Introduction to Hearing Science and Pediatric Audiology.
The hearing workshop will be held on March 8th from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. No registration or payment is required to join the broadcast.
