Those who want to see a live stage reading of Fahrenheit 451 can attend an event in Forest Hills at the Queens Public Library.
The Literature To Life Stage Presentation is a program where talented readers elevate the experience of certain novels by offering a professionally staged and verbal version of the Books. October’s event will be about Fahrenheit 451. Part of the QPL Banned Book Series, the presenter of the program is Rich Orlow, who is an award-winning actor who has been featured in shows such as Law and Order: Criminal Intent and Sheep and Wolves. Orlow has also starred in theatrical productions like Days of Wine and Roses.
Literature to Life is an organization that wants to inspire young people to read and write through its workshops and engaging presentations. The group has also performed stories in places like prisons, shelters, and black box theaters. Many Books have been turned into stage performances by the organization, including The Great Gatsby, County of Kings, and The Latehomecomer. The program was initially founded by the American Place Theatre.
The book reading performance will be held on October 7 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm. The in-person program is intended for adult and senior audience members.
