Forest Hills gets new gastropub

A new gastropub will have its grand opening in Forest Hills on July 13, just a few months after its planned opening in April.

Called Queen's Bully, the restaurant will serve barbecue and "comfort" food, such as Korean fried sticky wings, corn elote, and naan pizzas. The barbecue will include ribs smoked in-house and a 14-hour slow roasted brisket.

Behind the new restaurant are Rohan Aggarwal and Suraj Patel, both natives to Queens. The pair came up with the restaurant idea because they hoped to give the neighborhood a new experience in dining. According to The Forest Hills Times, Zagat had the opening of the restaurant down as one of the most anticipated in the city for the year.

Restaurant owners can use printing services to get the word out about their planned opening dates and to let customers know about any specials or events.

Queen's Bully also plan on working with area farmers and vendors, so that it can serve customers ingredients at the height of freshness. The restaurant owners plan on working with vendors from the local greenmarket.

It also plans on serving herbs grown in a hydroponic garden in the restaurant's basement. The hope is that next year, the garden will be able to expand to the roof, if the owners can get the appropriate permits from the city.
