Blues-rock four-piece to perform at Forest Hills

Later this month, the band Greta Van Fleet will be performing at the Forest Hills Stadium as part of their March of the Peaceful Army tour.

Greta Van Fleet consists of three siblings and their childhood friend. Danny Wagner plays the drums, while the brothers play the guitar, bass, keyboard, and provide vocals for the group. They named themselves after one of the elders from their hometown, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Greta Van Fleet plays rock ‘n’ roll music, with hit songs such as Black Smoke Rising, Flower Power, and Highway Tune.

The Forest Hills Stadium was initially constructed in 1923 as a venue for playing tennis but became known for hosting concerts later in the 1960s. Popular bands like The Beatles and the Rolling Stones have played at the stadium in the past, though in the 1990s the musical programming stopped. It was not until 2013 that the Forest Hills Stadium was reopened as a music venue with a concert by Mumford and Sons.

Greta Van Fleet will be holding their performance at the stadium on May 25 at 7:00 pm. Attendees can arrive as early as 5:00 pm when the doors open, and ticket prices start at $54.50.
