The 91st annual Building Awards and Gala is taking place next month in Queens, presented by the Queens Chamber of Commerce.
The awards exist to recognize builders in Queens who have made outstanding contributions to the borough. Awards are handed out in various categories such as green standards, new construction, alterations and additions to buildings. The winners each receive a large brass plaque that can be attached to the buildings themselves.
The event will start off with a cocktail reception where Chamber members and nonmembers can network. It will then be followed by dinner, the awards program, and dessert. The keynote speaker for the evening will be Michael Stoler of NY Real Estate TV.
Local businesses can purchase ads for the awards journal that will be given to all attendees. Ads cost $500 for a half-page and $750 for a full-page. Sponsorships are also available from $1,500 up to $10,000.
It is likely that business leaders from all over Queens, including Forest Hills, will be attending this gala event. Many of those planning to attend will be placing a new business card printing order so they have enough cards to exchange.
The Building Awards and Gala will take place at the Terrace on the Park in Flushing on December 7 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Tickets are $225 or $2,000 for a table of 10. Call 718-898-8500 for more information.
