The American Truck Historical Society Hudson Mohawk Chapter Antique Truck & Tractor Show was held for the 26th year on September 26 and 27.
Approximately 300 trucks and 4,000 people came to the event, which was held at the Saratoga County Fairgrounds, about 12 miles from Clifton Park.
Club president Jeff Wojtowicz said that trucks came from as far away as Pennsylvania and Canada to take part. In all, eight states had trucks representing them at the show.
The trucks ranged from pickups to heavy-duty 18-wheelers, and while some were lovingly restored, others were in original condition. Some were manufactured in the 1910s, while others were right off the assembly line.
Edwin Woodward, who owns a 1960 International R212, had brought this truck to the show for the past 20 years. The vehicle was once owned by the New York State Highway Department, and was retired in 2009 after spending 34 years on the job.
In addition to the trucks, the weekend featured tractor pulls and fire engines, as well as a flea market, food fair, and craft show.
Event organizers might like to build on this year's success by working with a flyer printing company to create a mailer. This could be both for distribution both to people in the area and also to show attendees, recapping the weekend and inviting them to watch out for the date next year.
