Magical experience awaits in Clifton Park
The magical world of Harry Potter is coming to Clifton Park residents at The Science & Wizardry of Harry Potter exhibition, taking place this summer at the Museum of Innovation and Science.
The event includes activities for families and children of all ages. Themed activities include finding Horcruxes scattered across the museum, and guests can find out which house they belong to with the Sorting Hat. Fun chemistry and other scientific experiments will also be demonstrated.
At an additional fee, participants can dive deeper into the magical world of Harry Potter. Booths will display poster printings of the special activities. Visitors can experience a magic and illusion show, close-up yet safe encounters with some cool and strange animals, and a lesson on stargazing to find the star constellations of Sirius, Bellatrix, and more. One of the most unique experiences is a wand-making workshop where guests can craft their own customized wand.
To complete the experience, the museum staff will all be in costume. Guests are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Harry Potter character.
The Science & Wizardry of Harry Potter will take place Saturday, June 13, from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm at the Museum of Innovation and Science (miSci). Children (3–12) tickets are $8 for advance sales, or $11 at the door. Adults (13+) tickets are $12 for advance sales, or $15 at the door. Additional experience fees vary and can be bought on the day.
