Disney’s Aladdin: The Broadway Musical will be shown near Clifton Park, New York in October.
The Middle Eastern folk tale, Aladdin, is about a charming street urchin who was tricked by an evil sorcerer, Jafar, to enter the Cave of Wonders. While in the cave, he discovers a magic oil lamp that contains a smart and humorous genie. Originally one of the Arabian Nights tales, it has been retold many times in performances and was made into an animated Disney film in 1992.
The musical will feature music written by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, Tim Rice, and Chad Beguelin. Bob Crowley, Gregg Barnes, and Natasha Katz are a part of the set design and costuming team. The show will be directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw.
Tickets range from $35 to $120 and include a facility fee of $4.50. The organizers recommend that attendees should be at least six years old.
