Clifton Park will be the host city for a charity event that will be raising money for arthritis in early December.
The Jingle Bell Run is an annual event that allows participants to dress up in holiday-themed outfits while they run or walk to raise awareness for arthritis, as well as enjoy a time out with the community. The Arthritis Foundation will host this year’s event at the Halfmoon Town Park.
There are timed and untimed divisions of the 5K. The costs will increase on the day of the race. From November 1 until the closing of the registration period, the timed sector will cost $40, but on the day of the event, it will increase to $45. For the untimed portion, it will be $35 from November 1 until the registration closes, and then it will increase to $40 on the day. There is also a virtual division, which allows those unable to attend the race in person to donate and receive the shirt that will be worn by participants.
Those who sign up for the event will be given a shirt featuring a graphic design themed around the race. Strollers and dogs are welcome at the event. Medals will be given out at the closing ceremony, which will begin around 11:00 am. Kids will have their run at 9:45 am, with the main event starting at 10:00 am. With check-in at 9:00 am, the entire activity will last about two or two and a half hours.
The run will take place on December 4.
