Clifton Park set to thank its volunteers

To recognize those citizens who give up their time to make their community a better place for all, a Volunteer Recognition and Community Celebration has been planned to highlight all the community members who fill volunteer positions.

The Friends of Clifton Park, who planned this event, might have used flyer printing to make the public in this community and surrounding areas aware of this special event.

Both they and the Halfmoon Public Library will be hosting their annual volunteer recognition celebration in the program rooms, with the recognition portion of the evening being by invitation only.

The public is invited to attend at 7:15 pm the community portion of the evening to hear the announcement about the two community scholarship winners for this year. This announcement will be made by the Volunteer of the Year recipient and the scholarship winners. There will be a presentation to the Library Director to be used for the buildings A/V collection, totaling at $5,000. Guests will be able to meet the winners of the awards and enjoy some finger foods and light refreshments.

This is a free event and all are invited to attend the public portion of the evening. It will be held on Wednesday, May 14, starting at 6:30 pm at the Clifton Park – Halfmoon Public Library located at 475 Moe Road. To learn more about this celebration, visit the library’s website or call 371-8622.
