A small independent Clifton Park bakery has found a recipe for success that is keeping its ovens hot and rolling pins turning.
Dolce and Biscotti Fine Italian Bakery is taking advantage of the fact that people are spending more time at home these days and has created a DIY cookie decorating kit that has become popular among those honing their food preparation skills.
The kits include 15 assorted baked sugar cookies, icing in various colors, and fun decorating ingredients such as sprinkles. There is no mixing, rolling or baking required. The kits sell online for $29 and are delivered.
The kits come in various creative themes such as Under the Sea, Merry Christmas To All, and Let’s Taco ‘Bout It. The kits are perfect for people who don’t have time to do holiday baking, but still want to have fun family decorating experiences.
The idea has been a boon to the bakery, which says it expects to deliver close to 5,000 cookie decorating kits to homes across the country. DIY kits such as these can also include extra marketing materials such as Business Cards and brochure printing.
Dolce and Biscotti Fine Italian Bakery is located at 1758 US Rt. 9 in Clifton Park. The bakery is open Tuesday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The bakery is closed Sundays and Mondays.
