Clifton Park residents can float into the sky in a hot air balloon ride overlooking the Adirondack Mountains at the Saratoga Balloon & BBQ festival next month.
This 7th annual fair will feature 30 hot air balloons, six BBQ chefs, and over 75 vendors featuring a wide variety of goods from arts and crafts, specialty items, and sundries. Guests can pick up Business Cards from their preferred vendors to recall favorite items and purchases. In addition to balloon rides, there will be helicopter trips. For children, there will be a variety of activities from magic shows to inflatable bounce houses.
The Saratoga Balloon & BBQ Festival takes place on August 14 -16 (rescheduled from June 19–21) at the Saratoga County Fairgrounds. The event will begin at 3:00 pm on Friday, August 14 and run until 10:00 pm. On Saturday and Sunday, the marketplace opens at 11:00 am, although hot air balloon rides will take place at 5:30 am. Helicopter and balloon rides are an additional fee and can be purchased in person on the day of the fair.
Any tickets purchased for the June event are valid for the August event. Day passes are $8 for adults (ages 16+), $5 for children (ages 3–15). For children under three, admission is free. There are also family day passes (two adults and two children) for $20. Two-day weekend passes are $15 for adults and $7 for children.
