It’s not too soon for Bellerose to get ready for an evening of nostalgia and a little summer, sand, and sun, as the Beach Boys will be holding a concert in a few weeks.
Whether they remember the band’s surf rock, rock and roll, psychedelic rock, and pop of the sixties, or simply enjoy retro, this will be an event many music fans will to be sure to put on their Calendars.
Audiences will get to reminisce with songs like ‘Barbara Ann’, ‘Good Vibrations’, ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice?’, and ‘California Girls’.”
The original band consisted of the Wilson brothers (Brian, Carl and Dennis), along and Mike Love and Al Jardine. There has been input off and on over the years by Bruce Johnston, David Marks, Blondie Chaplin, and Ricky Fataar.
To celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the band’s 1965 Album ‘Beach Boys Party!’ last November, the guys remixed and remastered the golden oldies and added more songs to their new pack entitled ‘Beach Boys’ Party! Uncovered and Unplugged’, which boasts 81 tracks. The band is touring around the country and in Europe promoting this new venture.
Posters, T-Shirts and other Promotional Products will be available before, during intermission, and after the performance.
The concert will be held Friday, February 12, at 8:00 pm at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury, 960 Bush Hollow Road, Westbury.
