Bellerose kids attend end-of-summer celebration

As another summer draws to a close, kids who call Bellerose home will be celebrating fall’s arrival and the start of another school year with an in-person party.

The Queens Public Library branch in Bellerose has a special event in the works, and it will be filled with hands-on fun. Support for the gathering has been provided by the New York Life Foundation, which was also a city-wide sponsor for the Summer Reading and Learning programs

The kids at the event will be able to have their face painted, and they can also watch the balloon twisters at work. The creativity will be flowing, with everyone able to select their favorite design from the options provided, and the party will run for two hours. The creations will include animals, fairies, and superheroes, and there will also be glittery options to choose from. Minors should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Libraries often serve as community gathering points, providing space for workshops, parties and other gatherings. A poster printing company will be able to supply marketing materials for a special event, and these may be posted in prominent public locations.

The Queens Public Library branch is located at 250-06 Hillside Avenue in Bellerose, and will run this activity on September 3rd. It will kick off at 3:00 pm, and further details can be found on the library system’s website.
