Queens Farm, located just minutes from downtown Bellerose and offering many activities for people of all ages, has confirmed that it will be hosting a celebration of itself in Spring 2015.
Asking the question ‘What does Springtime mean to us?’, Queens Farm will present a day of activities, including sheep shearing.
The farm manages a Community Compost Program, which will be presented for attendees to learn about the many facets of gardening and related science.
The onsite farmers will give in-depth tours of the facilities. Participants will have a chance to pick up seeds to plant vegetables and flowers at the Spring Plant Sale.
The Adriance Farmhouse, a historic structure, will be open exclusively for the Celebrate Queens Farm event. Hayrides and live music will highlight the activities at the Farmhouse and throughout the celebration. Food will also be available during the day.
