The Tone of My Soul program, designed by Sonic Wellness Institute, brings the healing sounds of traditional Tibetan tones to Bellerose residents. This event, just around the corner from Bellerose, will combine traditional healing sounds with meditation.
Although this event is tailored for “baby boomers” and senior citizens, everyone can stop by the center to explore other programs and collect Business Cards of this event to share with friends and family.
The Tone of My Soul is a one-hour program. During this time, a guide will be present to lead participants through sound meditation. The program is designed specifically to help people with the such health challenges as neuropathy, high blood pressure, diabetes, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, lupus, memory loss, tinnitus, balance issues, and knee/hip replacement recovery. The program prides itself on raising every participant’s spirit and firmly believes that sound reverberations play a key role in easing the stresses of daily life.
The Tone of My Soul program takes place in Glenwood Landing. This event will be held every Thursday from 12:00 pm — 1:00 pm throughout July. Reservations are mandatory. To reserve a spot, call 917 748 6600. Alternatively, the organization’s website has information on how to reserve in advance and to check availability for classes. Admission is $30 per class, or a six-class pass for $150 is also available for purchase.
