Fundraising gala honors local borough leaders

The Queen's Museum's fundraising Gala is to be held this June.

One of the main events of the evening will be the unveiling of a new piece of commissioned art by Mickalene Thomas. In addition, it will also be paying tribute to the Queens of Culture; Claire Shulman, Helen Marshall and Melinda Kate who are all past Queens Borough presidents.

Guests will enjoy a reception where they will be treated to cocktails and hors d'oeuvres provided by local restaurants, distilleries and breweries. Later dinner will be served and diners will be entertained by Yozmit. The evening will finish off with the toast to the Queens of Culture.

Sponsor tables of eight are available for the price of $5,000 up to $25,000; advertisements can also be purchased for the souvenir program.

This will be an excellent networking event for business leaders from Queen's areas such as Bellerose. Many will no doubt be investing in a new business card printing order before attending so that they will have enough to hand out to everyone they meet.

The Queen's Museum Gala will be held at the Queen's Museum on June 24 from 6:30 - 11:00 PM. Tickets are $500 each, $750 for a couple and $1,000 for priority seating. To become a sponsor, to purchase advertisements or to find out more about the evening's events, call 718-592-9700.
