The Wounded Warrior Project will host the Soldier Ride Babylon this summer to raise funds through the bike race. Attendees from across the state of New York, including Bohemia, Bellerose, Babylon, and Fairport, will participate in this annual event.
Participants may race individually or in teams. The route consists of 25 miles. Registration fees begin at $50 and each participant is asked to raise $250. Registration includes the 2015 Soldier Ride T-shirt, bib number, and access to the festivities of the day.
Active duty military and family members interested in starting a team can contact the organizers for a special promo code for registration discounts.
Prizes will be awarded for the most funds raised. Each Soldier Ride Participant raising $250 will receive a special Wounded Warrior Project gift.
Participants should bring a bike, helmet, and water bottle. A safety pamphlet is available through the organizers.
Banner printing is a common request for a local printer for races. The Banners provide highly visible signage throughout the race route, making it easy for the riders to follow the course safely and accurately.
The race will begin at Babylon Town Hall in Lindenhurst on July 17. It will finish at Overlook Beach on Ocean Parkway. Shuttle bus transportation will be available back to the starting location, if needed.
