Bellerose to learn baby care basics

Welcoming a new baby into a family may be both an exciting and trying time, and Bellerose area class is on the way for its parents-to-be.

The Baby Care Basics class will give future moms and dads, as well as grandparents and childcare providers, a set of tools they can use when caring for a newborn. Everyone has been asked to bring a stuffed animal or baby doll so they can practice what they learn, and the activity, along with a question-and-answer session will be offered in person.

Depending on the type chosen, tickets for the function cover registration for one or two attendees. The topics up for discussion include feeding and diapering, safety, how to take a baby’s temperature, cord care, sleep patterns, newborn equipment, and information about immunizations. The facilitator will be a nurse educator, and everyone is welcome to bring their own drinks and snacks if they wish.
