Bellerose to enjoy outdoor movie

An event that will hark back to the days when the drive-in was a popular choice for an evening out will treat Bellerose residents to a movie on the big screen, and tickets for the show are on sale now.

Queens Drive-In is making plans for a screening of “The Big Lebowski”. The organizers describe the 1998 film, starring Jeff Bridges and John Goodman, as being a combination of comedy and crime noir. Those who reserve a spot for the function are asked to arrive at the 49th Avenue/111th Street entrance of the New York Hall of Science, and special ticket pricing may be available for frontline workers, community groups, and other not-for-profit organizations.

When the ticket holders arrive at the venue, they will be directed to their reserved spot. Along with a chance to watch the movie in socially distanced comfort, food can be purchased on site, and a pre-show is on the agenda before the main attraction.

The organizer of this outdoor experience explained that signage will be posted to help the attendees locate the parking area. Such items can be prepared by area Print shops.

Queens Drive-In at the New York Hall of Science will be welcoming the public for this special evening starting at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 20. The main attraction will begin at 8:00 pm.
