Communities within the Queen’s region will have the opportunity to enjoy fine food and social interaction at the upcoming ‘An Evening of Fine Food’ presented by Queens Centers for Progress.
Residents from nearby neighborhoods, including Bellerose, Corona, Fairport, Long Island, and New York, are likely to attend.
An Evening of Fine Food provides a setting for honoring the 2015 Chefs of the Year while networking with the business community. Sampling the gourmet specialties from various restaurants and chefs is a highlight of the event. The event benefits local charities for over 1,200 children and adults with developmental disabilities.
Every year, leading business executives are honored for making a difference in the local community. This year’s honorees include representatives of VP Webline Designs and C & S Pharmacy Consulting.
The Queens Centers for Progress comprises residents working together to serve the needs of people with developmental disabilities. The entity has 600 members on staff. Other services include education, therapy, job training, employment placement, and day programs. The goal is to assist people with disabilities in leading fuller lives.
