Thanks to an online workshop, Bellerose residents will know what to do should an emergency crop up with their furry friend.
This learning opportunity, which may be of interest to pet parents – as well as groomers, dog walkers, vet techs, and anyone else who works or volunteers with animals – will be on offer this winter. The goal of the activity is to give the participants knowledge and skills they can use to save an animal's life, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is on the agenda along with the first aid instruction.
The group will learn what to do to stop bleeding, how to deal with and prevent choking, poisoning and other emergencies, and rescue breathing will also be taught. It is scheduled to run for four hours, and all are welcome.
The host of this event pointed out that each participant will receive a certificate of completion, which will be valid for two years. A full manual, emergency muzzle, and other items will also be distributed. Any professionals who take the class will be able to include an official Logo Design that can be used on any Promotional Products they use, and also their website.
The Fido Fitness Club in Woodmere will be hosting this learning activity on January 8, 2021. The sign-up fee is $79.
