An area initiative will be able to help Bellerose parents make sure their little one is safe when they hit the road.
Cohen Children’s Medical Center’s Virtual Car Seat Checks give parents or caregivers a way of making sure their child’s vehicle safety seat is the right one for them, and is installed properly. It is free to book a timeslot, and each will be guided by a certified child passenger safety (CPS) technician.
Families who sign up to take part have been asked to make sure they review the suggested tips for the event well ahead of time. They are advised to take the car seat out of its box and get some practice installing it, and to carefully read over any instructions provided. Both the seat and any instructions will be needed for the virtual sessions, and it is also advised that parents provide their child’s weight and height. Joining instructions for the 30-minute bookings will be sent out ahead of time.
Making sure a community’s kids are safe when they travel is one way an organization can serve its community. A poster printing company will be able to aid in spreading the word, and will have a variety of options available for its customers.
This free car seat clinic will be held next Wednesday, February 10. The schedule for the day starts at 12:25 pm.
