Bellerose offers something egg-stra this month

Easter is coming, and finding an Easter egg event is no problem here in the Bellerose area.

The first ever Easter Eggrstavaganza at Doughboy Park on Woodside Avenue, 56th Street in Queens will hide over 10,000 colorful plastic eggs containing seasonal treasures.

The free hunt takes place on April 13 and will have two divisions – the five-year-olds and younger in one, and the six- to nine-year-olds in the other. Little ones are invited to have their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny and get their faces painted. Activities begin at 10:15 am and run until 2:00 pm, with the hunt beginning at noon.

Two Easter events are scheduled for Saturday, April 20. One will be in Sky Village at 23-05 29th Street in Astoria. Children will search for eggs hidden in businesses from Broadway to Ditmars Boulevard. Eggs will contain toys, giveaways, prizes, and candy. Two special eggs will each contain a special all expenses paid Birthday Party for up to 10 guests. This hunt will begin at 9:30 am at Sky Village.

An Easter Kids Party Disco at Doha Nightclub NYC, 3834 31st Street, Queens will include bubble rain, balloon twisting, a magic show, a clown performance, and an Easter Bunny meet–and-greet. The hunt will be for balloon ‘eggs’, and will be from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm.

Parents at events such as these commonly take pictures of their children, and then take the pictures to local Stationery printers to be made into Holiday Cards.
