Bellerose looks forward to County Fair

Bellerose can look forward to the 38th Annual Queens County Fair coming in September. The two-day event will offer the traditional blue ribbon competitions, entertainment, midway games, and rides.

Entertainment will include jugglers, acrobats, live music, hayrides, and contests such as pie eating and corn husking.

The Con Edison Ecology booth will give out recycling tips and offer its Adopt-a-Worm program. Food and beverage vendors will be selling the usual fair treats, and local craft vendors will be offering their one-of-a-kind creations. Guests at fairs like to collect Business Cards from their favorite vendors so they can reconnect with them later.

The Amazing Maze will open for the fall season. Adult tickets run $10 each, children’s tickets will be $5, and kids ages 0 to 2 get in free. Extra fees (cash only) apply to food, midway games, petting zoo, carnival rides, and hay and pony rides. The Amazing Maize, which will open from 11:00am until 4:30pm, will also cost extra. A cash machine will be on site.

Queens County Farm Museum perks include free parking, bicycle racks, and restrooms. The Amazing Maize Maze and museum grounds permit Backpacks, strollers, and bottled water.

The 38th Annual Queens County Fair is scheduled for Saturday, September 12 and Sunday 13 from 11:00am until 6:00pm at Queens County Farm Museum, Floral Park.
