Bellerose invited to the 7th Annual Katies Run

In a couple of weeks the Katie McBride Foundation will be hosting its 7th Annual Katie’s run to raise funds for Long Island’s Ronald Mc Donald House and local services. The event

will include a 5K race, a 2-mile Walk and Fun Run and a Children’s Fun Run.

Awards will be presented to the top three males and females and to the top three males and females 40 and over. Awards will also be handed out to the top three males and females in all age groups. Children who finish the Children’s Fun Run will receive medals.

Online registrants will receive Premium New Balance T-Shirts. Registration will also include admission to the Post -race BBQ. 5K racers will receive chip timing, and personalized bibs will available for those who register before June 16th. The Children’s Fun Run will be free.

The event will take place on June 26th. It will start in New Hyde Park Memorial Park close to the Hyde Park Funeral Home, 506 Lakeville Road, New Hyde Park which is located at the border of Nassau County and Queens. The 5K will start at 9:00 am. The 2-mile Fun Run/Walk will start five minutes later. Ronald McDonald will start the Children’s Fun Run after the 2-mile run/walk. The free Pick-up Packet Pasta Party will be at the New Hyde Park Elks at 901 Lakeville Road, New Hyde Park on June 24th.
