Bellerose gets to attend area plant swap

Bellerose “plant parents” who have some they would like to swap are welcome to add their name to the list of those attending a local horticultural event.

The 53rd Street Library Theater will serve as the location for a Plant Swap, and this free activity is open to anyone interested. The location is accessible to those who use a wheelchair or other mobility device, and American Sign Language interpretation services are available upon request.

Attendees at the function will be able to exchange any plants they bring for new ones, and they are asked to make sure cuttings are healthy and pest free. They can meet other home horticulture enthusiasts and share tips and best practices with them, and it is intended to be an occasion that offers fun for everyone who attends. The listing suggests to have Bags or containers on hand to transport any new plants.

Hosting a themed mixer gives those interested in a particular hobby an opportunity to meet others who share their interest. A flyer printing company will have an assortment of ways on offer to promote an activity, including takeaway material about the plants available.

The 53rd Street Library has made arrangements to host this activity for plant lovers on Tuesday, November 8. It will be running from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
