Bellerose gets the scoop on building healthy soil

A productive garden starts at ground level, and a Bellerose area workshop will introduce the process of building fertile soil.

Queen Botanical Garden has organized a learning session that will introduce the value of a healthy soil. Both Garden members and non-members may participate, and tickets start at $26.

The session will be facilitated by the venue’s Compost Manager and Farm Manager, and it will take place on site. The participants will learn about the value of compost tea and how to prepare it, and they will discover how this can lead to a bountiful vegetable crop. All materials needed for the activity will be provided, and it is intended for adults. While drop-ins may be accommodated, those who would like to be part of the class are advised to register in advance to avoid disappointment. There is a parking lot on site, although a fee is likely to be charged for using it.

Learning is a process that goes on throughout a person's lifetime, and workshops offer an opportunity to it in an entertaining way. Instructional materials can be prepared for an activity by Print shops, and they can incorporate illustrations, graphs, and other graphic design elements.
