Bellerose folk to don their navigational minds

Con Edison will sponsor The Amazing Maize Maze at Queens Farm in Bellerose through most of October.

Commemorating the 200th anniversary of the American national anthem, the maze this year takes the form of the U.S. flag, offering fun for the kids and adults as they find their way through a three-acre corn labyrinth.

Kicking off the adventure, the ‘Stalk Talk’ provides information regarding the challenge for finding clues and solving the puzzles. Making an exit from the maze is the ultimate goal, but its designers are likely to keep participants guessing along the way.

Using signage at outdoor events is a common practice for event organizers, and is a task likely to keep local banner printing companies busy. The sturdy vinyl is durable and can handle weather conditions. Placing the Banners high in the air makes the information visible to all.

Admission to the Amazing Maize Maze is $9 per adult and $5 for children ages 4-11. Kids under three are admitted for free. Group discounts are available.
The maze is available now through October 26, and a special Maze by Moonlight is scheduled for October 4 and October 18. The special nighttime maze will be even more challenging as visitors must use the stars in the sky or flashlights to guide them through it. It will be open until 9:00 pm on both days.
