Bellerose feasts on chocolate at festival

The Seventh Annual Chocolate Expo is coming to Long Island early in March.

This sweet event will have chocolate fountain goodies and other sweet treats. To offset the sugar highs, there will also be baked goods, specialty foods, cheeses, ciders, beers, wine and craft sodas.

Entertainment will include a Chocolate Challenge competition showcasing celebrity chefs and one lucky guest from the audience.

DJ CHEF will be the emcee at Hangar 2 Dance Party, where costumed guests such as Willy Wonka, assorted princesses, and Star Wars characters will mingle with guests.

The Giant Dome Theater will present “Apollo 11: First Steps.” Admission will be free. Attendees can also explore the Cradle of Aviation Museum for free. Bellerose children can enjoy face painting, crafts, and balloon twisting.

The $35 VIP tickets will have unlimited entry and VIP swag including tote Bags featuring the event Logo Design and chocolate spa bars. Proceeds from the sale of the VIP tickets will go to Long Island Cares Harry Chapin Food Bank.

The adult general ($15 online and $21 at the door) tickets and children’s tickets ($10 online and $16 at the door) will have specified two-hour entry times. Once inside, guests can opt to stay as long as they wish.

The Chocolate Expo will be at the Cradle of Aviation Museum, Charles Lindbergh Boulevard, Garden City, this Sunday, March 1 from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm.
