Bellerose families offered Halloween fun

An event filled with family friendly thrills and chills will help to make the Halloween season a little bit spookier, and Bellerose kids and adults alike may really enjoy the experience.

The Bellmore Chamber of Commerce announced that it has plans in the works for its yearly Halloween Parade and Trick or Treat, which will give its merchants an opportunity to join in the fun of the season. The parade participants will gather in front of the Bellmore Movies located on Petit Avenue, from which they will head out.

The fun of the day will kick off with the costume parade, and the participating kids and their parents will make their way up Bedford Avenue. Spooky music will be playing, and many businesses in the community will be hosting trick or treaters. They will indicate this by displaying a “Mr. Pumpkin” graphic design in their window.

After they have finished shelling out, families will be invited to keep the fun going by making tracks for the trunk or treat set up in the LIRR parking lot located on Broadway. Here, they will find a Halloween backdrop for photo ops as well as a chance to collect even more goodies.

October 21 will see this popular Bellerose area event making its return. The participants in the parade are asked to arrive at the gathering point on Petit Avenue at 11:45 am.
