What's Happening in Bellerose, NY…

There is more than one way to build a family, and one of these will be highlighted as part of an upcoming conference-style event.

Delegates at the Bellerose area Adoptive Parents Committee’s annual conference will walk away with a deeper understanding of adoption, as well as its challenges and rewards. It is scheduled to take place in person at St. John’s University, and it will run for one day.

Function attendees will be able to sit in on a keynote address by Angela Tucker, and while the cafeteria at the venue will be closed, boxed lunches may be ordered at the same time as reserving a seat. There will be a wide assortment of workshops, breakout sessions, and panel discussions, and everyone can network and share their own adoption experiences. Due to the subject matter being discussed, the organizers advise that it is not suitable for children.

A conference gives its attendees the chance to learn and engage with others interested in the topic at hand. A brochure printing company can be called in to provide a full line of informational materials so that the participants will be able to stay well informed.

The Adoptive Parents Committee Annual Conference is on Sunday, June 2 at 8000 Utopia Parkway in Jamaica. It will run from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm that day.
