The 2019 World’s Fare will be in full swing for two days in mid-May.
This will be the second year for the event, which celebrates New York City’s equality and diversity. Over 100 cultures will be represented by over 100 curated vendors.
Fourteen food curators for the event will include story teller and founder Liza Mosquito Deguia, cheese expert Tia Keenan, Burger expert George Motz, dessert enthusiast and food writer Niko Triantafillou, and food consultant Jean Lee.
Over 100 food vendors will have everything from fried ice cream, empanadas, risotto balls, pierogis, Asian buns, and street food, to macaroons, dumplings, lobster, burgers, duck, and cakes.
Music from around the globe will include Rho & the Nomads, Black Tie Brass Band, Mariachi Loco, Funky Dawgz Brass Band, Kaleta & Super Yamba and Underground Horns. Among the International dance groups will be Irish and country dancing displays.
Art experiences will be provided by Africa Body paint and Taisan Tanaka. There will be karate exhibitions and interactive murals. An international shopping bazaar will have handmade items, clothing, tapestry, fashion, jewelry, and accessories.
A $2,500 donation will be made to CityMeals on Wheels. Bellerose attendees can get tee shirts, Totes, Mugs and pennants all sporting the Fare’s graphic design online.
The 2019 World’s Fare is scheduled for May 18 and 19 at Citi Field, 123-01 Roosevelt Avenue, Queens.
