Bellerose area invited to meet the animals

Queens County Farm Museum offers a glimpse into the area’s agricultural past, and the venue has scheduled a series of sessions that will introduce its animal residents.

This Bellerose area museum has created its Meet our Animals series of activities, and each month will feature a different species. Each installment has been scheduled for a select Saturday, and will feature hands-on interaction.

Livestock featured in the program will range from baby chicks to a pair of steers, alpacas, sheep, goats, and pigs. Each will begin with a presentation that provides information about the animals and how they are cared for, and these will be led by the Museum’s Livestock Manager. These will all be followed by themed activities that encourage hands-on interaction.

Tickets are $12 each, with kids aged two and under welcome to attend free of charge. The public can sign up for all of the dates or only the ones that interest them.
