Bellerose area farm stands to feature local produce

A Bellerose area operation will have farm stands open throughout the summer months.

Queens County Farm Museum will once again be welcoming the public to shop from its Seasonal Farm stands, which will be set up at the front gate and also at Jamaica Hospital. The veggies, herbs, flowers ,and fruit sold will be sourced from the farm itself, as well as Rottkamp Brothers Farm, meaning it will be freshly harvested and will have a high nutritional value.

The items on offer will vary according to what is in season, but all will have been grown using organic farming techniques. It will be propagated, grown, and harvested by the farm’s small group of employees, and there will be staff on hand during the markets to answer any questions from the shoppers.

Those who plan on doing some browsing and buying at the stand are reminded to bring along a bag or box to carry home their purchases. Many functions of this type have Shopping Bags made to sell to the customers that feature the event’s Logo Design, with reusable bag particularly popular.

The Queens County Farm Museum market will be open throughout the summer and fall, and will close up shop on November 7. Its Jamaica Hospital location will be open from June 18 until November 5.
