Reno event celebrates the arts
An event taking place in a month is putting a shining light on purveyors of the arts from around the Reno area.
The Midnight Faire is a creator showcase that gives small businesses, artisans, bakers, and musicians a place to show off their goods to an interested audience. It also allows them to embrace the “Black Friday” season that hits the retail world at this time of year, but with a focus on more personal and handmade items.
Offerings at the market include items and displays such as live music, baked goods, a demonstration of screen printing, artwork, clothing, crafts, oddities, and interactive experiences.
Different food vendors, demonstrations, and musicians will be present throughout the day. A set schedule is available on the Eventbrite listing.
Prior to the event, tickets are sold on Eventbrite for a $6 cost, raising to $8 on the day of the event. The tickets cover entry for the entire day, as well as allowing people to leave and come back later.
The event is organized by Hailey Best and Kayla Duane. The venue will be The Holland Project, where limited parking is available, along with additional spaces in the surrounding area. The organizers encourage people to practice carpooling.
At many events like this, vendors will have business cards printed, as this allows them to provide their information to people who may want to purchase from them at a later date.
This Reno experience is scheduled to take place between 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Sunday, November 2.
