Reno celebrates animals and seasonal tradition

An event towards the end of October is giving both people and animals in the Reno area a chance to get festive with a celebration of an autumn holiday.

The Harvest Festival is an event that is hosted by Animal Ark Wildlife Sanctuary. The experience is a great option for a Halloween themed family activity or solo adventure. Guests can enjoy activities and treats such as trick or treating for the younger attendees, sweet snacks to try, meals via food trucks, and a stroll by various animal exhibits.

All the animals available to see will be getting special pumpkin themed treats to enjoy. Some will have their snacks out throughout the event, while others will get theirs at specific times. A schedule for those animals will be made available closer to the festival.

Animal Ark Wildlife Sanctuary is a safe space for animals that are unable to live on their own in their natural environment. It is also a rehab facility. The AAWS also pushes for conservation and education. The organization is accredited by the Zoological Association of America.

Tickets range from free to $22, depending on the age of the attendee. The event no longer requires an RSVP, but tickets do need to be purchased. Reno residents can have some Halloween fun on both October 25th and October 26th. Flyer printing is commonly used as a promotion technique for many festivals. The time frame for both dates is 10:00am to 3:00pm.
