Restaurant invests $1.5m in grand reopening
Following its closure due to COVID restrictions and an extensive remodel, Tucanos, the renowned Brazilian grill, and downtown fixture, celebrated its grand reopening at its new location on Central Avenue and 1st Street.
Despite many businesses opting to leave downtown, the franchise took a bold step and invested significantly in the extensive remodel to keep its doors open. The renovations were particularly evident in the newly constructed patio, which started being built at the start of the year. To further enhance the interior, the restaurant temporarily closed its doors in May to carry on with the renovation work. Poster printing can be used to let people know when an establishment is temporarily closed.
The establishment’s president and founder, Steve Oldham, commented:
A total of $1.5m was invested by the restaurant group to revamp the downtown space. Tucanos has built a strong reputation for its signature Brazilian grilling style called churrasco, which is a renowned culinary tradition in South American nations like Uruguay, Brazil, and Argentina. At Tucanos, the menu proudly presents a generous buffet alongside various other delectable grill options, including fish and chicken dishes.
The Albuquerque establishment is among the seven locations of Tucanos and commenced its operations in 2002.
