Albuquerque’s Revel concert venue is hosting a performance by Poppy this August.
The tour is in support of her seventh studio album, Empty Hands, which blends together genres as diverse as metal, pop and rock and takes influence from 90s bands like the Deftones and Korn.
The tour features special guests Landmrvks and Thousand Below, who will both be performing at the Albuquerque concert as well.
A two-time Grammy Award nominee, Poppy uses elements such as heavy guitar riffs with a shrieking vocal delivery to create something both cutting and atmospheric. Her tour also includes stops in Washington, Oregon, Massachusetts, Texas, and other states all over the U.S.
Poppy is as much an internet personality as she is a musical artist, having come up in the 2010s, creating abstract and conceptual videos to go with her music. She even starred in her own web TV show, I’m Poppy, in 2018.
Poppy is joined by Landmvrks, a French band that infuses elements of metal and hip-hop, and the California-based Thousand Below, who take a singer-songwriter sensibility to the post-hardcore rock genre.
Concerts like this may choose to use poster printing to create low-cost promotion in the community.
Poppy - Constantly Nowhere Tour is happening on August 9 at 7 pm, with doors open at 6 pm, at the Revel at 4720 Alexander Blvd NE in Albuquerque.
