Kali Uchis is coming to Albuquerque’s First Financial Credit Union Amphitheater as part of her For The Girls Tour this May.
With guest artist Mariah The Scientist in tow, Uchis will bring her signature combination of musical genres that serve as a backdrop to her singing and weaving between both English and Spanish in her songs.
While earlier albums emphasized hip-hop and R&B, 2024’s Orquídeas incorporates elements of dance, rhythm and global Latin-American influences. A follow-up to her album Red Moon in Venus, released less than a year prior, with both works entirely in Spanish.
From reggaetón to Latin soul, merengue and house music, the 14-song Orquídeas was an attempt for Uchis to highlight the great amount of variety within the broader umbrella of Latin music, overall, she explained in a recent interview.
Uchis, who identifies as being bicultural, the Columbia American singer was the first in her family to venture into the field of music for her career.
Making her start in Los Angeles, living in her car, after moving from Virginia, Uchis’ commitment to her craft would later make her a Grammy-winning artist.
Musical concerts like this may choose to use banner printing to create Signs for merch tables, vendor booths and stage decorations.
Kali Uchis: For The Girls Tour, featuring guest artist Mariah The Scientist, is happening on May 27 at 7 pm at the First Financial Credit Union Amphitheater at 5601 University Blvd. S.E. in Albuquerque.
