Key leadership positions recently filled, according to Mayor

Mayor Tim Keller has announced three important positions in Albuquerque’s city government have been taken.

The occupants of the roles are Eric Griego Montoya, Valerie Hermanson, and Bobby Sisneros, who will no doubt be updating their business cards in the near future if they have not already.

In his press release, Mayor Keller stated:

“Each of these hires fills a need in key role for our city and will help us achieve shared goals in this next chapter of our city’s journey.”

Eric Griego Montoya, who has spent the last 30 years working at the local, state, national and international level on public policy issues as a policymaker, analyst, and researcher, will become the Mayor Office’s Director of Outreach and Advocacy.

Valerie Hermanson has taken on the position of Vision Zero Coordinator as a City of Albuquerque Strategic Program Manager of Public Works. She will be working to lower pedestrian deaths and to increase the safety of local roads for all stakeholders by reimagining the city’s transit system. She brings more than a decade of experience connected transportation planning.

The new Transit Department Deputy Director, Bobby Sisneros, was first employed by the city as a temporary Transit Department employee 14 years ago. With skills in graphic design, Sisneros designed the city’s bus stop signs and established the non-profit organization Keep Albuquerque Beautiful.
