Free film about adventurous animals comes to Albuquerque
A movie about animal friends reuniting with each other is coming to the International District Library in Albuquerque.
The Adventures of Milo & Otis will screen during the library’s free event, Sunday Family Movies, in February.
The film is about a young cat, Milo, and dog, Otis, who grew up together on the same farm. When they are separated one day, they each get their first taste of the perils and awe of the larger world. Each animal goes on a quest to reunite with the other, crossing snowy landscapes and climbing mountains, with dangers lurking in every corner.
Family movie events like this may need poster printing for promotion and flyer printing to get the word out in the community.
The Adventures of Milo & Otis was originally released in Japan in 1987. For the U.S. version, it was edited down from 90 minutes to 76 minutes, and Dudley Moore’s narration was added.
The Japanese version of the film was recognized by the Awards of the Japanese Academy, including a nomination for Best Music Score by Ryuichi Sakamoto and being named winner of the Popularity Award.
The Adventures of Milo & Otis is screening at the International District Library at 7601 Central Ave NE in Albuquerque on Sunday, February 9, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The library can be accessed via the bus system, freeway, or neighborhood streets.
