Albuquerque science museum offers winter break camps

Children in Albuquerque will have the opportunity to quench their thirsty minds with learning during winter break, thanks to a local science museum’s camps.

The Science is Everywhere camps at the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History cater to K-6 students and are being held while schools are on winter break.

The camps are promising an immersive experience for children to enjoy. Far from the typical boring books and chalkboards, each camp is centered on a STEAM topic with interactive activities to illustrate the wonders of our world.

Science camps for children like these often need banner printing to designate their locations in a building, as well as brochure printing to convey information to parents.

With the Science is Everywhere camps, children will have the opportunity to freeze bubbles during the “Frosty Fun” day, make colorful works of art with physics during the “Color Me Fun” day, and make paper creations with simple folds and cutting techniques during the “Paper Prodigies” day.

There are also camps dedicated to proven scientific fields of study, such as the “Budding Biologists” day and the “All About Atoms” day, each of which is about some of the fundamentals of biology and physics, respectively.

The camps at the National Museum of Nuclear Science will cost around $75 each. They will run from December 23 through January 3. More information can be found at the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History’s website.
